Diagnostic offer

For direct pathogen detection, we mainly perform real-time or conventional PCRs. Specific antibodies are detected by ELISA, and within the reference function for infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and Aujeszky's disease by serum neutralization test (SNT). As the first veterinary laboratory in Switzerland, we also offer testing by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) since 2019. Electron microscopy can be used to detect various virus families. Details can be found here.
